Meet The Team

J.R. Gustafson
M.O.T., OTR/L, CAFS, CHT
J.R. Gustafson earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Development with a focus
on community health and exercise science from Montana State University (2012) and his
Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University (2015). His clinical experience
includes internships at Billings Clinic (acute care), Maricopa Burn Center, and Lone Peak
Physical Therapy. During graduate school, he also served as an anatomy fellow, teaching
anatomy and physiology to healthcare students.
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) since 2020, J.R. specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and
shoulder rehabilitation. His expertise includes custom splinting, orthotics, and casting, treating
conditions such as fractures, dislocations, tendon injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, skier’s
thumb, and chronic issues like tendonitis and headaches. He also has a passion for cervical and
thoracic spine care.
Outside the clinic, J.R. enjoys Montana’s great outdoors—mountain biking, camping, hunting,
fishing, and coaching hockey. He’s a proud husband and father, cherishing time with his
beautiful wife and three amazing kids. After moving to Butte over eight years ago, J.R. and his
family found a deep connection with the community, drawn to its strong, supportive spirit.
Watching his kids grow up surrounded by such care and belonging fuels his dedication to giving back through exceptional care for Butte and the surrounding areas, helping patients return to
the activities they love.

Jake Querciagrossa
DPT, CSCS
Jake is a physical therapist and strength and conditioning coach specializing in movement-based assessment, return to activity/sport, and longevity resistance training programs. As a strength coach, he develops youth athletes to bring their performance to the next level.
Jake earned a Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology with a minor in sport and exercise psychology (2014) and went on to complete his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2017) from West Virginia University. Since 2017, he has spent his professional time learning about movement analysis, biomechanics, and athletic development in a variety of sports. Jake has worked with athletes in many sports including, track and field, swimming, mountain bike, football, volleyball, and baseball. Like most Montanans, Jake is a lover of the outdoors and competes in cross country mountain bike races, swims in mountain lakes, and enjoys fishing.

Ashley Wold
DPT, CAFS
As a dedicated therapist at Strength in Motion, Ashley specializes in both pelvic health and orthopedic rehabilitation. Her goal is to empower you to take control of your health and return to the activities that you love. Ashley received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2011. She moved back home to Butte in 2013 and has been treating members of the community she loves since then. Ashley has advanced training in pelvic health including pre/postpartum care, urinary and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and post-surgical care. She also has extensive training in orthopedics, manual therapy and dry needling. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and children, being outdoors hiking, biking, camping, golfing, and attending her children’s events.

Beth Salusso
DPT, CAFS
Beth Salusso is a Butte Native. She received her bachelor's in applied health science at Montana Tech in 2002. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Montana in 2006.
Beth has experience treating all injuries and post-surgical patients. She excels in spinal rehabilitation, temporomandibular dysfunction, headaches, back, and neck pain. She finds great passion and drive for providing excellent care for the community of Butte.
Beth is a specialist in Applied Functional Science, is Graston certified, and has taken courses in Active Release Therapy, ART.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids camping, hiking, and snowboarding. She and her husband Mark are active members on different athletic boards to help support kids in the community.

Sarah Siewing
DPT
Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance from Montana State University in 2013, and then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Montana in 2016.She specializes in vestibular and concussion rehabilitation. Her passion for this area of physical therapy grew after working in a vestibular clinic in Missoula before returning home to Butte in 2018. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children. She also enjoys any chance to get outside and be active.

Tawni Harper
OTR/L
Tawni earned her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mary in 2016. She typically treats dysfunction of the spine and shoulder and is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) BIG for patients with neurological disorders. She enjoys exercise and spending time with friends and family.

Through her training in LSVT BIG, Tawni specializes in treating patients with neurodegenerative conditions. Examples include: Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and stroke. Frequent falls, difficulty walking, and smaller/uncoordinated movements often result from these disorders. Aspects of BIG training focus on increasing size and speed to normalize movement patterns and retraining balance to decrease risk of falls.
